But there is also seems to be a side to the...Amen! But there is also seems to be a side to the parable which does strongly suggest a human source in the provision of social justice. And it is scandalous. The Good Samaritan was...a Samaritan! A half-breed heretic, at least according to the Jews. The thought of a Jew being presented as helpless in the story, passed on by fellow Jews, and eventually helped by a heretic half-breed was scandalous to tthe Jew hearing that story. <br /><br />We, Gentiles today, are the scandal of the universe. God reached outside His old covenant people to include a new covenant people, and what a scandal that was! A pagan people of Romans 1 were included in the covenant people of Romans 9!<br /><br />Now the scandal continues as each saga unfolds. One recipient of scandalous grace investing that same scandalous grace toward other scandalous recipients.
